Sara Vogelpohl named new Assistant Principal

Sara Vogelpohl has been named the new Assistant Principal of Mary Todd Elementary. She is taking over the position from Mrs. Angela Miller, who will officially step into her role as Principal on July 1, 2025. 

For the past four years, Mrs. Vogelpohl has supported both students and educators in their growth and success as the School-Based Instructional Coach at Mary Todd Elementary. Prior to this role, she spent nine years in the classroom, teaching both 1st and 4th grade. Her entire career has been dedicated to Fayette County Public Schools, where she is passionate about fostering a love for learning and instructional excellence.

Mrs. Vogelpohl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Teacher Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University, as well as an Educational Specialist degree in Principalship from the University of Kentucky.

Outside of education, she is a proud mom to Konner (8), Logan (5), and Brynlee (2). Their home is full of energy, laughter, and a friendly sports rivalry, as she cheers for UK while her husband, Matt, supports Louisville! In her free time, Mrs. Vogelpohl enjoys shopping, all things Disney, sipping on Diet Mountain Dew, and embracing the beauty of fall.
